Q. What are the steps for creating the electronic file for SSA (EFW2)?
A.Please use the following steps to create EFW2 file:
1. Select 'W-2s' on the TKT Payroll Main Menu bar.
2. When the 'Print Form W-2' screen displays, Click the 'Create Electronic file for SSA (EFW2)' button.
3. When the 'Create EFW2 file' screen displays, fill in blanks with the appropriate information.
5. Click the 'Click to Select Year-End Pay Period to Create EFW2 Zipped Folder file' button.
6. In the 'Open' popup select the Year-End file, and click the 'Open' button in the lower right corner of the 'Open' box.
7. The ZIP file name you entered for the EFW2 file will be saved to your company payroll folder (example: ABCCompany2024EFW2).
8. A popup screen will show you the location in your company payroll folder.
9. A popup box will display with the message The EFW2 zipped file (*.zip) that was just saved to your company payroll folder can now be copied, and submitted for testing by clicking the "Click To Go To SSA AccuWage Application" button.
