Georgia

For proper Georgia tax withholding, the Annual Standard Deduction amount and the Annual Personal Allowance amount must be added together and entered in the next to last field in the employee's record.

The
Annual Standard Deduction Amount, which can be found for Georgia at the website shown on the Georgia tax table is as follows:

Single or Head of Household - $2300
Married (filing separately or joint return - both spouses working) - $1500
Married (filing joint return one spouse working) - $3000

The
Annual Personal Allowance, which can be found for Georgia at the website shown on the Georgia tax table is as follows:

Single or Head of Household - $2700
Married (filing separately or joint return - both spouses working) - $3700
Married (filing joint return one spouse working) - $7400

The Dependent Exemption Allowance amount is in the TKT Payroll Georgia Tax Table. The number of Dependents should be entered in the field to the right of "State Tax Allowances...." in the employee's record.

For Married (filing separately or joint return - both spouses working, select "2 Married" for the employee's "Tax Status".

For Married (filing joint return one spouse working) and Head of Household, select "3 Head/Household" for the employee's "Tax Status".
